Thank you! ... I use Rawstudio all the time with great success! I've been using 
the Ubuntu package, 1.0-1

Unfortunately, I tried to install just now on Ubuntu 8.10 and the configure failed:

root at david:/usr/local/rawstudio-1.2# ./configure

checking for PACKAGE... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 
2.8.0 libxml-2.0 >= 2.4 gconf-2.0 >= 2.0 lcms dbus-1 exiv2) were not met:

No package 'gconf-2.0' found
No package 'dbus-1' found
No package 'exiv2' found


I haven't installed exiv2 yet, but dbus and gconf2 are installed - NB, dbus 
conflicts with dbus-1. Can anyone suggest what I do next? thanks...
