Hi List,
I just discovered this interesting bit of software and played around a
bit with some of my raw images. It is just what I was searching for, as
I am about to switch my hole post processing workflow from windows to
linux/ubuntu.
When toying around I found the sliders to be very hard to handle, when
it comes into precise work. I would love to have an optional possibility
to enter numbers instead of tossing around the slider, just for the very
final value I want to achieve. I think a right click on the slider
should open a field where the number may be entered or so.
Then I have a question: Is there any way to get raw studio interpret the
raw file like it is by the original canon raw converter, or gthumb or
so? I mean: I was able to achieve very similar color intensity with raw
studio to what gthumbs raw preview shows me, but by default raw studio
seems to spread the color curve in a way that gives images a grayish
look. Maybe I just did not found the right check box to change this.
Last question: Is it planned to get the preview line on the top reflect
the changes I make on the raw files? I liked it a lot on canons raw
converter to get a quick impression how a global change affected each
photo. This way I could quickly attribute a profile to a hole bunch of
photos I shot under similar conditions but than rework for example just
those which were a bit to dark or to bright now. In a certain way this
is also related to the second question. I would really like the raw file
to be interpreted in a way to look by default like the thumbnail on the top.
cheers,
Michael
